Break Free Presents "The Cleansing: A Father's Love," a discussion, healing session, showcase, and open Mic. Bless up family, hope all is well! It’s that time for our live installment of June 2021! So, back in May we did an event to celebrate our Queens that brought us into the world, and with Father’s Day approaching, we’re going to use this time to celebrate our Kings. As we know; Fatherhood is a deep wound for much of the community, mostly stemming from the systematic destruction of the black family structure in this country. For centuries now there’s been efforts to diminish the Black Father as well as his role, but to put it plainly there is absolutely no substitute for “A Father’s Love.” With that said, this June 25th we’ll be celebrating black fatherhood, diving into the history of it, how we do a better job supporting/appreciating the fathers of our community, and much more.
