Wholesale Food Distributor in Ridgewood Queens is currently accepting resumes for Order Picker/General Warehouse HOURS Monday to Friday 4:00 AM - 1 PM (Mon-Thursday) and 4:00 AM-12 Noon (on Fridays.) Doors open around 3:00 am. You CAN start as early as 3:00am if you wish...and you will be paid OVERTIME for all minutes worked BEFORE 4 AM On some days you may be sent home before the close of business as the work winds down but for the week, we expect you to get around 40 hours plus OT. The latest we work to is 1pm Monday - Thursday and Noon on Friday. NO WEEKENDS. OVERTIME We pay OVERTIME every day, rather than after 40 hours of work for the week There are two (2) ways to earn overtime. The first is to punch in for work BEFORE 4am. Your start time is 4am but if you start early (and we hope you do), you BEGIN your day on OT...until 4am Then...as soon as you hit 8 hours for the day... you are back on OT again. PAY Starts at $16.75/hr ($25.13/hr) for overtime hours worked before 4am and again after 8 hours worked each day!) Annual merit raises thereafter. Since we are a food wholesaler, you will be working mostly in a refrigerated and freezer warehouse. You will be on your feet all day except for the 2 breaks (coffee and lunch). Picking customer orders and re-stocking the warehouse. BONUS Weekly CASH performance bonus for top 6 orders pickers of $100, $100, $75, $75, $50, $50 (performance rating based on speed and accuracy). BENEFITS Medical (including dental) are excellent (Oxford) and available after 3 months of employment Paid Vacation (1 week after 1 year. 2 weeks after 2 years) Paid Holidays (8) although we do work from 4am to 9am on many Holiday (except New Years Day, Christmas Day and Thanksgiving) After 3 months you earn Holidays and are paid 8 hours plus the hours you work.
