TITLE: APPLIANCE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (AMP) AUDITOR DEPARTMENT: Energy REPORTS TO: Energy Director STATUS: Non-Exempt, Full-Time (40 hours) Community Action Programs Inter-City, Inc. (CAPIC) is seeking an individual who will perform comprehensive AMP assessments for income eligible homes. Responsibilities include energy improvement recommendations, energy efficient lighting installation, and client education. This position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to conduct business in a professional manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: • Implement Energy program practices and procedures, coordinate activities between contractors, owners, customers, and all other parties involved throughout the administrative and technical processes • Schedule and perform National Grid Electric Appliance Assessments with eligible clients for energy efficiency • Provide timely and accurate data as requested by Program Director • Attend and participate in departmental, organization-wide and other meetings. • Act in the best interest of the organization, reflecting values of team work, collaboration and mutual respect • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and Agency (CAPIC) • Complete accurate and organized AMP audits • Educate clients on prospective savings • Follow-up with the clients to ensure their satisfaction with the installation • Mediate contractor and client interactions • Perform duties as assigned by the Energy Director and/or Executive Director Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required • Must be able to work with minimal supervision • Must have good organization skills; both written and verbal • Must have a suitable CORI and SORI completed within the first thirty (30) days of employment. • Knowledge of energy conservation principles • Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish) • Skilled in use of computer for data entry • Driver’s license and vehicle required PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to tolerate working in cold and hot temperatures ranging from 0° to 120°. Ability to tolerate working in attics and basements. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., Push and pull items up to 50 lbs. This position requires individuals to kneel and climb on ladders on a routine but occasional basis throughout the day. This position requires walking, standing, and sitting on frequent basis throughout the work day. This position requires the use of both fine and gross motor skills to complete the assigned tasks.
