Description

One of our many invasive species removal projects. In 2020 our Volunteer Program hand removed over 45,000 lbs of this invasive plant! Volunteers will be on land & in canoes hand pulling an invasive aquatic plant from the lake. Volunteers not going out in rowboats will work from land or wear waders standing in the water. Tools & work gloves will be provided but please bring your own water. Volunteers should wear clothes that can get wet, dirty and closed toe shoes. No experience is necessary! With these efforts we will be able to provide clean water available for the return of native species, the use of the lake for recreation, and overall enhancement to the quality of life for our community members! VOLUNTEERS MUST ARRIVE ON SITE WITH THEIR OWN MASK & PRACTICE SAFE SOCIAL DISTANCING Contact [email protected] with questions. Hope to see you there!
