Join us for the star-studded, VIP screening of the feature film Battlegrounds by directors Azim Lateef and Teresa D. Ballard Starring Brandon Christle, B. Simone, Clarence Brown and Denzel Wells, Battlegrounds is the story of a young, stick-up kid turned hip hop artist, who has muddled through a broken childhood. He is offered the performance of a lifetime, but it may cost him his soul. The special VIP screening is hosted by K104 personality Lady Jade and is presented by Teresa D Ballard Productions and Kemet Films. It’s So Real Entertainment is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the creation and production of compelling, thought provoking, entertaining and inspiring theatrical experiences. The organization was founded in 2008 by playwright, director and actress Teresa D. Ballard, a single mother working 2 jobs with a passion for theatre and a desire to help others. She was inspired to provide a platform for real actors to deliver real messages on stage through "dramedy“ with her unique blend of comedy and drama. Miss Ballard's plays are created to evoke audiences every emotion and deliver life lessons and spiritual connectedness. Her dramedies educate people on healthy lifestyles and deliverance. Since its inception, TD Ballard has written and produced several plays including "360 Degrees Against the Odds,"  "Christmas Just Ain't Christmas," "Lord, I Need to Hear You,"' and "Suspicion! Lies! and Sweet Potato Pies!" SLSP debuted in November 2009, at the Majestic Theatre (Dallas, Tx). The production sold out six shows and received a 5 star review from the Dallas Weekly Newspaper (November 2009).
