UYRS and Fishtown BID Bring you the Urban Youth Racing School Celebrity Grand Prix & STEM Family Day Presented By Rivers Casino. The Urban Youth Racing School (UYRS) & Fishtown Business District is set to host the UYRS Celebrity Grand Prix & STEM Family Day that introduces young, inner-city children to the world of motorsports & STEM. This year’s Grand Prix will be hosted in conjunction with NASCAR Rising Star Kyle Larson and Friends. We will have STEM MIDWAY to engage the local community throughout the day. Families and children will be able to experience demonstrations from UYRS corporate partners and learn more about their impact on the community. Past Honorary Drivers, Masters of Ceremony, Grand Marshalls and specialguests have included; 5 Time NASCAR Champion Jeff Gordon, Dale EarnhardtJr; Bubba Wallace, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Tina Gordon (NASCAR Driver), ReggieShowers (NHRA Driver), Styles (The LOX), Rocwiller (Hip Hop Producer),NAAM Brigade (Philly Group) and Carvin Haggins (R&B Producer) and many more. ABOUT UYRS Founded by Anthony Martin in 1998, the Urban Youth Racing School (UYRS) is a 501 C3 nonprofit organization headquartered in Philadelphia dedicated toexposing inner city youth, ages 8-18, to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) career opportunities in the motorsports industry through education, training and on track driving experience. To date, UYRS has impacted the lives of over 7,500 at risk youth and counting. Over the last two decades, UYRS has worked with corporate and educational partners like General Motors, the Office of Naval Research, the Knight Foundation, Chevrolet and the Jordan Brand to impact thelives of its students.
