This is what often happens when people give away a free dog or a cat - they become bait animals. PLEASE do not give your animal away for free. "You don't need to know Margo at all to know that she's lived through unimaginable pain. All over her body are scars and lacerations and punctures that tell a very sad, very gruesome story. Why this was done to her is not something that matters - because regardless of her actions, she did NOT deserve this. No animal, no living, breathing being deserves this kind of treatment. And we all are heartbroken for her. "When rescuers learned about a possible bait dog in need of help, they immediately stepped up to the plate. But what they imagined in their head was nothing compared to the reality of Margo's condition. Margo was torn apart in every sense of the word. Punctures and tears to her flesh were all over, she was pale, and bite wounds covered 90% of her body. Rescuers rushed her to the hospital where doctors worked to stabilize her and ran diagnostics to see what they were dealing with. They found that one of the wounds near the middle of her forehead penetrated down and into her sinus cavity, resulting in a break to her skull. Xrays also showed a fragment of something else that could be metal or a piece of a bullet and also a fracture to her right rear fibula that may need surgery itself.
