Northeast Iowa School of Music’s ChamberFestDBQ 2021 is the musical highlight of the summer. Each year, 2018 Pulitzer Prize Finalist Michael Gilbertson hand-picks a small ensemble of guest artists of the international music scene for a benefit concert for his beloved school of music. Northeast Iowa School of Music makes the life-changing benefits of music education and enrichment accessible to all through instruction performance, and outreach.A certified member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education, our school offers private lessons in piano, voice, guitar, composition, and band and orchestra instruments, a variety of group classes, and three adult performance ensembles: Dubuque Community String Orchestra, New Horizons Band, and Heartland Harmony. No experience or audition is required; Northeast Iowa School of Music makes music available to everyone and offers need-based scholarship assistance because we believe that life and health are enriched by life-long learning and appreciation of music and that all people deserve this opportunity, regardless of financial obstacles.
