This workshop will explore using off-camera flash (OCF) creatively in low-light conditions and after dark.
Shooting in low-light and after dark can be a challenge, but with the help of flash, your images can still pop!
In this intermediate workshop, students will learn how to use OCF in low-light conditions and also how to utilize the power of flash to create unique & creative images.
Workshop instructor Hannah Bell of Southern Belle Photography will take the class on a photo walk around downtown Salisbury with a model couple to demonstrate various lighting techniques on location. Some topics that will be covered include using colored gels, capturing silhouettes, lighting a sparkler exit, & portraiture after golden hour. Depending on time, Hannah may also demonstrate long exposure light painting.
Throughout the workshop, there will be chances to ask questions and learn hands-on.
If you are looking to feel more confident shooting in low-light conditions or you want to capture more creative images, this workshop is for you!
This workshop will take place in downtown Salisbury and will have a cap of 10 students.
**This workshop is an intermediate to advanced level course. Students must already have a base knowledge of how to use flash & OCF before participating. Hannah will be teaching an Intro to Flash & OCF workshop one week beforehand on July 22nd if you are interested in learning the basics of flash.**
