Long Island Girl, 12, Drowns In Backyard Pool

BELLPORRT, NY — The drowning death of a 12-year-old girl in Bellport Monday night is being investigated by Suffolk County police Homicide Squad detectives. Police said that at about 7:20 p.m. 5th Precinct officers responded to a home on Association Road after Addison Delossantos was "found unresponsive in the backyard pool." She was transported by South Country Ambulance to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue where she was pronounced dead, police said. The investigation is continuing, according to police.
