Description

We are bring the real conversations about human trafficking and healthy relationships. This is an exclusive event you can’t miss! Times have changed and so has our children, with technology, society and much more. A Girl Like Me Network will be hosting our first event open to everyone! We have special guest all the way from Houston,Tx. Dr.Nissi Hamilton. She is a human trafficking survivor, activist, partner with Crime Stopper and so much more. She helped Texas along with fellow survivors push the “Smart Act” where all girls have to be 21years of age in the entire state to work in strip clubs. Makes sense right? We are so excited to have her. We also have Christina Ford, Founder of Springfields very own “The Rebound Foundation” helping women and children through domestic violence. This organization helps with housing, clothing, and healthy relationship discussions. A Girl Like Me Network is a nonprofit located in Springfield,Mo as well. An organization focused on youth girls ages 11-19 where mentorship, monthly table talks on variety topics, braid-a-thins and much more takes place. Founder and President Amby Lewis is a Springfield native who uses her childhood experiences to create change through her community. Join us this day July 18th with live music, meet and greet and deep conversations will take place regarding human trafficking and healthy relationships. The funds will go to A Girl Like Me Network to help girls across Greene County.
