There is currently a research study being conducted by UC Berkeley. The study aims to assess the challenges individuals have experienced while being under community supervision. The study has no affiliation with any probation department or any other government agency. Who is Eligible? • Ages 18-74 • Currently living in the State of California • Under community supervision in the State of California • Currently under a form of electronic digital surveillance What will you be asked to do? Study participation will be conducted virtually over Zoom teleconference using your phone, laptop, or tablet. You will be asked to talk about your experiences of being on probation. Questions will cover your daily experiences and challenges you have faced while on community supervision. Your participation will take approximately 1 hour and will consist of a single interview that will be done virtually. By participating you will be making a great contribution to the understanding of experiences of individuals while on probation. Participation is voluntary and interviews can be stopped at any time. You will be compensated with a $30 gift card upon completion of the research interview.
