Description

Join us for good books and great conversations! On Tuesday, July 20th, join us for our first meeting of the WCHS Book Club! The club will meet on the third Tuesday of every month to discuss a chosen work of fiction or nonfiction focusing on history, art, culture, or politics. This new program is an exciting way to get involved with WCHS, and participate in a series of casual, yet thought-provoking conversations. For more information, contact the Washington County Historical Society at (301) 797-8782 or [email protected]. Founded in 1911, the Washington County Historical Society has played a significant role in preserving historic sites, artifacts and archival records for Washington County, Maryland. Located in downtown Hagerstown, the Miller House serves as the home of the historical society, the kinship Family Heritage Research Center, and the Miller House Museum. The museum gives visitors a taste of life in the 1850s and exhibits showcase important events in Washington County history.
