Join us for the first of our Saturdays in the Woods events this summer! Come out to experience the beauty of our newly acquired Girty's Woods—a 155-acre area of woods around Reserve Township, Shaler Township, and Millvale borough. Through tremendous community fundraising efforts, the woods were permanently protected by the Allegheny Land Trust in the spring of 2021. All are welcome, however, please note that parts of the trail are very steep and may be difficult for some. After meeting behind the library we will walk to the trail entrance by the water at the end of Siegel Street. These events are hosted by Lauren Powell and Annalise Abraham who are interning in Millvale Borough this summer. Each Saturday from June 19 to August 7 we will be organizing a variety of fun, community events around the woods. We hope to see you!
