BROCKTON, MA — After a two-month long investigation, police say they have arrested the man accused of selling drugs in several Bridgewater-area communities Thursday.
Police recovered trafficking amounts of Fentanyl, cocaine, a gun, and more than $142,000 cash while executing a search warrant at his home, Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz announced.
As a result of the investigation, detectives determined that Marlon Teixeira, 31, of Bridgewater, was selling Fentanyl and crack cocaine throughout the towns of Bridgewater, East Bridgewater, West Bridgewater, Brockton and several others, all by using what police are calling a "runner system."
A second man identified as Djestiny Andrade-Fonseca, 20, of Brockton was also arrested. Detectives identified Andrade-Fonseca as the runner behind Teixeira's operation and was with Teixeira when he was arrested.
Teixeira was scheduled for arraignment Friday in Brockton District Court on one count each of Trafficking Fentanyl, over 200 grams, Trafficking Cocaine, over 100 grams, Trafficking Percocet, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Ammunition.
This investigation is ongoing.
