Description
The Humane Society of Harford County's adoption counselors are the first smiling faces seen by all of
our visitors, donors, volunteers, and fosters. Their happy and polite
attitude can even be heard over the phone and in the tone of their
emails! The adoption team helps educate the public by answering all
animal and shelter-related questions, and is responsible for helping
introduce families to a new pet, approving and processing all adoptions,
providing resources to prevent surrenders, accepting surrendered and
stray animals, and helping to reunite lost pets with their owners.
Exceptional and compassionate customer service skills, and the
ability to effectively multi-task, is essential. Must be computer
literate, using Word, Excel, email, internet browsers, and be able to
learn and use the PetPoint database program. Experience with animals
and/or sheltering/rescue is preferred, but not required. If this sounds
