NEWARK, NJ — A free summer concert series held by the county will include fireworks shows at Weequahic and Branch Brook parks in Newark. The 2021 Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series will include a performance by "Smooth" at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30 at Weequahic Park in Newark. The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra will play a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26 in Branch Brook Park in Newark. Both events will include a fireworks show.
