The Town of Bel Air is accepting applications for the position of Full Time Equipment Operator II in the Department of Public Works, located at 705 E. Churchville Rd., Bel Air, MD 21014. This is a skilled position in the Department of Public Works requiring a high level of competence in the safe operation of general purpose vehicles, construction related equipment and heavy motor equipment. This employee routinely operates complex and/or specialized equipment to construct and maintain roads, parking lots and utilities and is under the general supervision of the Crew Chief and/or Assistant Operations Chief. Safely operates equipment including but not limited to an asphalt roller, street sweeper, front-end loader, rubber tire front-end loader, skid loader and backhoe, as well as, a two-axle dump truck with a snow plow and salt spreader installed, tractors, pick-up trucks and automobiles under normal and adverse weather conditions. Performs manual labor associated with asphalt paving and concrete placement, plus other duties as assigned.
