RENTON, WA — More than 2,300 in Renton were without power Tuesday afternoon due to a Puget Sound Energy outage south of the Highlands Park area. PSE reported the outage shortly at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday and provided an initial estimate to restore power within two hours. The utility's online map showed several blocks around Renton Technical College were affected by the outage. Power was restored to the area within an hour. (Puget Sound Energy) Details on what may have knocked the power out were not immediately available. PSE said an investigation into the cause of the outage was ongoing.
