BRENTWOOD, CA — Firefighters worked to extricate a person trapped inside an overturned dump truck on the 405 Freeway Tuesday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The incident happened near the Veterans Administration on the 405 about 12:33 p.m., according to Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
"Firefighters extricated the patient and are transporting to local trauma center in moderate condition," Prange said.
The semi-truck hit a barrier, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The eastbound Wilshire Boulevard exit was closed and a SigAlert was issued about 1:15 p.m., CHP reports.
