Multiple Power Outages Reported Across The South Bay

TORRANCE, CA — Multiple power outages were reported across the South Bay Tuesday in Torrance, Hawthorne and El Segundo, according to Southern California Edison. At least 14 customers lost power in Torrance, near Palos Verdes Estates, about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday. Crews were working to restore power in the area, according to the utility. About 24 customers lost power shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday in El Segundo and the utility was analyzing the problem. In Hawthorne, an outage was reported about 2 p.m. and power was knocked down for about 53 customers, Edison reports. About 34 other customers in Hawthorne lost power about 1:41 p.m. and crews were working to restore power in the area under zip code 90250. This is a developing story.
