AUSTIN, TX — Austin Pets Alive! will reduce its adoption fees this week to encourage the community to adopt some adorable pets this summer. The adoption special, which will reduce fees by $100, began Saturday and will continue this Saturday. The week-long event will include dogs and puppies. "A kennel is no place for a dog to be, especially during these brutal Austin summers," officials said. "APA! is aiming to get more dogs into loving homes this week by offering adoptions at a lower cost." Austin Pets Alive's Town Lake shelter remains closed for walk-ins; however, staff are permitting required appointments. Meet these pups looking for a forever homeTo view all dogs currently available for adoption or to make an appointment with a matchmaker, visit the Austin Pet's Alive! website.
