Description

Hi good afternoon we have a 6 year old Savannah monitor looking for someone with Extensive reptile experience as well as the room for such a large lizard. Their minimum enclosure requirements are 6x4x8 feet. And he will come with almost enough wood to cover that. We rescued this monitor from a rough situation 2 years ago. And due to having to move I could no longer keep up to par with all his requirements. He’s a tame lizard. But can be aggressive like any large monitor. He requires a diet consisting of mostly insects ranging from roaches to superworms. Crickets and hornworms. Snails and other small prey can be fed such as small chicks or mice. I would strongly advise against mice. And feed a small chick on a very rare occasion. Once every 2 months or so. They don’t digest fat as easily and their main cause of death is usually obesity. There isn’t too much reliable information on these monitors available online. So I would suggest joining a Facebook group such as “Savannah monitor group” to get more resources and information! Please only contact me if very serious and willing to provide pictures of where you would be keeping him as my main goal is getting him a better home, thank you. Kevin.
