Press release from the City of Evanston: 06/14/2021 4:38 PM The City of Evanston's Parks & Recreation Department has begun providing free cold breakfasts and lunches to youth ages 1 to 18 years old at seven locations throughout Evanston as part of the Summer Food Program. The program will run through Friday, August 20. Free meals are available to all youth daily, Monday through Friday, on a first-come, first-served basis. Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  There are no residency or income-based restrictions to participate in the program. Meals will be available for grab-and-go only and guardians must accompany young children. Meal sites locations June 14 through July 23 The Summer Food Service Program is funded by a grant from the Illinois State Board of Education. Menus are available at the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center and on site at each location.  For more information, visit cityofevanston.org/summerfood or call/text 847-448-4311. For convenience, residents in Evanston may simply dial 3-1-1.
