Missing Person Near Apache Junction Found Safe

PHOENIX, AZ — Deputies safely located a 28-year-old woman who went missing near Bull Dog wash, near Apache Junction on Sunday, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said. Amanda Calimeri was last seen near Bull Dog wash near Forest Road 10, where she was off-roading with a friend when their vehicle got stuck in the sand, according to the office. Calimeri walked off to try and find help, and her friend couldn't locate her once he got the vehicle unstuck, the office said. Calimeri was unharmed during the interim and is safe, according to the office.
