Hello! My name is Samuel and I’m a private music teacher with 20+ years of experience studying and performing with a myriad of instruments in a variety of genres. I have a passion for sharing the knowledge I’ve gained and am excited to be taking on more students. I am currently offering lessons at $40/hour and $35/45min via Zoom with a free initial consultation. Please email directly if you would like to discuss sliding scale rates. My focus is primarily on adult intermediate/beginners and I teach the following: Piano (classical, jazz, ragtime etc.) Banjo (3-finger, clawhammer, frailing) Guitar (steel string or classical) Trumpet Piano Accordion Approach: In our lessons together technique will be equally important as mindfulness in your overall musical growth. Regardless of the student’s chosen instrument I teach alongside a keyboard as I believe it is one of the best methods for gaining understanding of basic theory, and provides a solid visual foundation for understanding other instruments. Students don’t need to own a keyboard unless piano is their chosen instrument. Above all we’ll do our best to have fun and learn the skills necessary for expression and enjoyment.
