Dear God of Drummers: We, a simple classic rock band, humbly beseech thee, to send us a drummer, strong of wrist, fleet of finger, and wisened in the ways of rock and roll. Would that this drummer be over the age of 35, a rhythmacist of incredible stature. May his or her paradiddles be swift and rim shots crack like thunderbolts. May he or she be in possession of a vehicle, in which to travel, and professional quality gear, with which to produce tones pleasing to the ear. We ask that you grant us a battle hardened drummer possessing knowledge of time, beats and rudiments, so that when we say, "this song is a shuffle in straight 8's", he or she shall comprehend.
