Description
I'm a local singer-songwriter and guitar player seeking an experienced rhythm section for a recording project of new original material I'm looking to record in a local professional studio. I'm looking to do some pre-production with a drummer and bassist (and possibly keys), then track between 5-10 songs in the studio. It would be ideal if you could provide a space to rehearse prior to going into the studio.
The primary styles or influences I aim for or gravitate to as far as instrumentation/arrangement ranges from classic Singer-Songwriters (Van Morrison, Jackson Browne, Mark Knopfler) to Americana/Roots-Rock (Ryan Adams, Jeff Tweedy/Wilco) to other modern acoustic-based Singer-Songwriters (Jack Johnson, Damien Rice). Of course, these are just a few out of many artists, genres, and sounds that have provided inspiration and have helped to shape my musical output.
In general, in addition to Drums and Bass, I'm looking to add (on some songs) things like: Piano/Keys/Organ, Violin/Fiddle/Cello, Mandolin/Pedal Steel, Horns (Sax, Trumpet, Trombone). I do have some older material online at the link below, and I also have a few newer guitar/vocal demos I could share as well.
I am willing to provide payment for the recording project. One payment based on the number of songs tracked in the studio and including an agreed upon amount of pre-production rehearsals. Please let me know if this is something you may be interested in. I would prefer to find an existing rhythm section or band who is into this type of sound and might be interested in pursuing performing shows in support of the record at some point.
