Entry Level Janitorial/Maintenance for Highrise Apt Bldg

Position Type: Full Time Janitorial/Maintenance person for a high rise apartment building in Lincoln Park Duties and Responsibilities: * Clean laundry room * Remove debris from work sites * Remove carpeting and tile from apartments * Prepare apartments for turnover * Shampoo carpets * Clean building walls, flooring and windows * Service and clean restrooms * Gather and empty trash, clean compactor room * Change light bulbs and clean light fixtures * Remove snow from sidewalks using snow blower or shovel * Monitor building security * Other duties as assigned Job requirements: * Knowledge of English language * Requires being reliable and fulfilling obligations * Ability to perform physical activities including heavy lifting up to 50 lbs * Ability to climb ladders * Must be available for overnight shift (10:30 pm - 7:00 am) * Required to work weekends, holidays and overtime Equal Opportunity Employer
