CDL Class A Truck Driver Position – Denver Metro Area Conifer Excavating has partnered as a successful excavation contractor serving the Denver-metro region since 2017. We are seeking a dependable and organized Class A truck driver who possesses physical and mental stamina, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is able to ensure safe and accurate deliveries. Must be detail-oriented, efficient, and have a clean driving record. Total Compensation - Position offered is Full Time – 40+ hours per week - Compensation is competitive and will be based on experience o Hourly Compensation o Negotiable - Full Employee Benefit Package including Health, Dental, and Vision o 100% Employer paid premiums for employees after probation period Class A Truck Driver Job Duties and Responsibilities • Works with route managers and scheduling to optimize fleet utilization and project deliveries • Accurately complete driving tickets documenting each delivery or driving activity • Ensure all shipping documentation required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipment when delivered • Compliance with all regulatory agency and company safety directives • Comple a thorough load check inspection before each departure ensuring that load is secured, and the truck is in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations • Obey all traffic laws and weight limits • Complete and file in a precise and timely manner all vehicle pre/post-trip inspections, and log items as required by government agencies • Report all accidents involving driver, company equipment, and/or private property Class A Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications • High school diploma or GED equivalent • Valid Class A driver’s license required • 2+ years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred • Clean driving record with no moving violations • Must pass a background check • Skilled at driving large vehicles • Comfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailer • Alert, focused, and detail-oriented • Physically and mentally fit • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time • Able to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc. • Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful Education and Experience Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of CDL A driving experience. Willing to work a flexible schedule. Preferred: CDL endorsements for Hazmat, Tanker, Double / Triple trailer. Experience driving A-Tandem Aggregate truck.
