During the G7 press conference on Sunday, Biden stumbled along while speaking to world leaders sounding terribly unprepared. "We can work together with Russia – for example, in Libya. We should be opening up the passage to be able to go through, provide food assistance, and economic... I mean, vital assistance to a population that's in real trouble," Biden said, confusing Libya with Syria. He confused Libya for Syria two more time within 90 seconds. Time magazine was ridiculed last week for an extremely flattering cover picture of Biden appearing years younger and a headline that read, "Taking on Putin." Biden also said, "I'm sorry, I'm going to get in trouble with staff if I don't do this the right way", while using a "cheat sheet" to keep him on script. There’s little doubt why Democrats kept him hidden away from facing the public during the campaign.
