Description
The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing the company's fleet of semi-trucks and trailers, ensuring all trucks are Road Ready, completing a Pre-trip Inspection prior to new drivers starting, management of truck equipment, maintain maintenance records, and responding to driver maintenance requests & coordinating repairs.
Position Responsibilities
Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance on the trucks in the fleet
Adhere to OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulatory compliance standards. Ensuring ALL trucks are ALWAYS DOT compliant
Respond to service calls from drivers after-hours nights/weekends
Maintain vehicle records using our fleet management system
Inspect newly purchased trucks
Pick up and deliver vehicles
Manage and install ELD
Perform assigned duties in a safe and productive manner
Interact with clients through both email or phone as necessary
Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
Class A or B CDL license is required
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
Basic knowledge of Semi-trucks 2 to 3 years of diesel mechanic experience
Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Salary and Benefits Information: The rate of pay for this position will be based on experience.
Schedule and Shift: This is a full-time position working day shift, Monday through Friday, and availability to take after-hour calls from drivers is required.
