Description
Assistant Manager/Maintenance person needed for a Self-Storage facility located in beautiful San Clemente, Ca. Regular days would be Wednesday through Sunday but flexibility to cover other days based on need is required. This position will have very diverse duties ranging from office skills to property maintenance and customer service.
No self-storage experience required. This is a perfect opportunity to learn a new career in a very prosperous and growing industry. We will train the right candidate with the following basic skills:
• Light Maintenance abilities including but not limited to cutting locks when needed, changing light bulbs, painting units when needed, fixing doors, trimming hedges, blowing down property.
• General cleaning of the property, storage units, restrooms, taking out trash, etc.
• Basic telephone and computer skills.
• Good communication skills and comfortable interacting with customers, vendors and co-workers. Must be personable and show units to prospective tenants and show them around the property.
• Must be able to walk the facility throughout the day.
• Must have a valid drivers license, current auto insurance and dependable transportation to be able to go to the bank and the post office when needed. Mileage will be reimbursed.
• Must be comfortable driving a 14’ box truck when needed.
• You will be trained on our storage and gate software but any experience you bring is a plus.
Compensation: $18.00 an hour
Employment Type: Full Time – 35 to 40 hours per week
