Gus is an amazing dog who has been with me for about a year. He is so sweet and a big cuddle bear but he is extremely resource protective. If you do not know what this means it means Gus doesn’t allow any other dogs around anything he sees as valuable. In this case, food. I have tried to help him with this but it only seems to get worse. I don’t mean this lightly when I request that he is an only dog. He listens well and will sit and lay down on command. He loves to be around you and will enjoy your time. He is moderately active in that he likes to run outside in a yard but complains about going on long walks. He is a free thinker and a wonderful SOLO compainion. He tolerates other animals as long as nothing he thinks is food around (this includes a napkin on the ground). He is a livestock dog but I do not know how he does around chickens unfortunatey. I am not asking a rehoming fee as I am only doing this out of love for him. It is not fair for me to continue to set him up for failure and for him to only live half a life. He is very big (about 120-140) and would be better suited with a yard or an open space to walk with you in. He has a decent recall with his name but can be stubborn sometimes as his breed is known for it. Please do not contact me if you have other pets.
