Description
I have Five American Curl Kittens 4 boys and I girl two of the boys have the curl ears and the other carry the gene this gene was discovered in farel cats this type of breed has only been around since the early 80 breeders are breeding them and selling for 1200+farel breads sell 250 + mine are kittens from a kitten who mother was a farel cat she had pointed ears and her three kittens had pointed ears I gave away one female and kept the brother and sister so I was not aware of the gene until the female had kittens on two were about 5 weeks old three of the kittens ears pointed and two ears look floped over at first I thought it was a deformity from the brother and sister mating but turns out that it is a gene that some cats have and is rare so the mother of the original litter also had the gene and passed it to her off spring all 5 kittens have the gene and will produce kittens with the gene The American Curl is a medium-sized cat with unique curled ears that give the cat an alert appearance.
The ears are not curled at birth but begin curling within 3–5 days. The ears complete their transformations in about 16 weeks, and the curl can vary from almost straight to having a curl with an angle of 90–180 degrees breeders are trying to get more curled kittens but there is only a 50%. Chançe that all will have curled ears the cost of these kittens is $75.00 each see pictures two boys with curled ears black female and two boys pointed ears
