We are looking for a Pond Field Technician who will be responsible for maintaining basic aspects of algae pond operations including, but not limited to pond growth, harvest, transfers, feeding, and cleanliness of the farm and field functions. In this position, you will be working a schedule including mornings, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate has related experience, is willing to work outside rain or shine, and has great mechanical abilities and attention to detail. Contact us to apply today! Hours Full-time, Schedule TBD Location Kailua-Kona, Big Island Pay $16 an hour Responsibilities Sweep and harvest ponds with tractor. Collect daily pond samples, pH, and temperature data and maintain accurate files. Calibrate pH and temperature meters. Feed and treat ponds with nutrients as needed. Process daily pond cleaning and sanitation, pressure wash ponds as needed. Set up pond transfers and harvests. Maintain all equipment organized, set-up, fueled, etc. Monthly janitorial duties. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of previous experience, preferably in a production facility, aquaculture, or farming. Ability to operate Forklift, Sky Trak, and tractors. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work outdoors rain or shine. Interested?
