The inaugural Columbus Summer Wine Festival, Whitehall Edition takes place on Saturday, July 17 from 4 p.m.- 8 p.m. at The Kelley Green. MGN and CD1025 for the Kids are happy to announce an exciting new summer wine tasting event, the Columbus Summer Wine Festival, Whitehall Edition on Saturday, July 17 from 4 p.m.–8 p.m. at Whitehall’s newest park, The Kelley Green. The 2-acre park, located at the corner of Broad & Hamilton about a half mile from the 270 exits, is the perfect backdrop for this tasting event. “ Kelley Green is an absolutely gorgeous space; it features an open green, stage, and ponds. City officials in Whitehall have created a really amazing space and we are happy to be one of the first festivals to use this venue,” said Mike Gallicchio, president of MGN. Guests can expect to enjoy a variety of wines from at least 15 different brands. While wine is at the center of the event, the festival will also feature artisans, crafters, and live music. Food will also be available. Tickets to the event are $35 per person and include 10 taste tickets. Due to the nature of the event, guests must be 21 years of age and older to participate in the tasting. Age verification in the form of a government-issued photo ID will be required for all tasters. A portion of the festival’s proceeds will benefit CD1025 for the Kids, the charitable organization operated by Central Ohio’s independent alternative radio station CD929FM. Is there an ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Due to the nature of this event, guests must be 21 years of age and to participate in the tastings. Guests will be required to provide a government-issued photo ID at our ticket booths. Guests without an ID will not be permitted to taste. Are additional taste tickets available at the festival? Yes, additional taste tickets can be purchased at the festival. Taste tickets are non-refundable. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Media inquiries, photo passes, media passes, etc. should be directed to [email protected]. What's the refund policy? This is a rain or shine event. Refunds or exchanges are not permitted. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? It is recommended, although not required, that you bring a printed ticket to expedite entry at the gate or have a mobile ticket on your phone ready to scan. Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? The name on the ticket does not have to match the attendee. All attendees will have their printed or mobile tickets scanned at our main ticket booth. Will you be adding more tastings? At this time, we are only planning on one tasting session from 4 p.m.–8 p.m.; however, we may add more at a later date tbd. Please remember to have a valid government-issued photo ID to participate in tastings. Guests without a government-issued photo ID will NOT be able to participate regardless of their ticket type.
