Our client, a growing biotechnology firm, is looking for an individual to help support several aspects of facility operations. This is an entry-level role with opportunity to grow supporting our team. The ideal candidate will have previous, relevant experience in basic facilities roles, and enjoy an energetic fast-paced, collaborative, vibrant startup culture. Responsibilities: • Perform all ordering, receiving and distribution duties in an organized manner • Inspect contents of received packages for damage and completeness against PO/invoice and report any findings or deviations to the lab manager • Collect and file packing slips of all shipments, maintain and update the receiving log • Work with internal customers to inform them of location of specific received packages • Maintain proper storage of received materials (room temperature, refrigerated or frozen storage) as needed until distributed to end user • Maintain accurate inventory of consumable supplies throughout the facility • Be trained on and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) relevant for ordering, receiving and distribution activities • Wear appropriate company-supplied Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) when in research lab areas (gloves, lab coat and safety eyewear) • Assist with other facility duties as requested by Lab Manager, including transporting of bio-hazardous waste within the facility, verifying and testing equipment Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED. • Experience in a biology laboratory setting is preferred. • Strong communication skills. • After safety training, must be able to perform required tasks in fully compliant manner. • Must be able to lift and transport (using carts or wheelies) packages • Must be comfortable to walking frequently throughout the facility (required). • Proficient computer skills.
