"The more the daughter knows the details of her mother's life, the stronger the daughter" Come out and join Girl Talk Incorporated and Sonya Cooke Life Strategist and Mentor for a series of talks that are aimed to bridge the gap of communication among mothers and daughters. These talks will take place once a month and will cover a multitude of topics that are vital to the mental, physical and psychological health and success of our future young women. Join us on July 10th as we discuss the important topic of "How We're Raising Our Daughters". What are they learning from us when it comes to taking care of their bodies, how to maintain their home, their value as a person/their self-worth, and how to carry themselves and navigate intimate relationships in the 21st century. These are all very important topics that we will discuss and share with our daughters. We are their first line of knowledge, and who better to get this valuable information from then our mother's, our village of women that love and care about us and want to see us successful in all areas of life. This event will allow our daughters and granddaughters to glean from their mothers and the mature generation that was often guarded when speaking on some of these topics. We don't want to make that same mistake, we want to be open, honest, transparent, and real when it comes to giving our young women what they need to succeed. There will be a panel of women sharing their experiences on how they were raised and how they raised their daughters. They will share their successes as well as their regrets and what they would do differently if they had to do it all over again. So mark your calendars, you do not want to miss this amazing conversations. Refreshments will be provided. Girl Talk Incorporated is an empowerment and mentor organization designed to meet the growing needs of the female youth in the Indianapolis community. Through a staff of volunteers and advisors we facilitate weekly meetings in a judgement free atmosphere designed to address various topics and offer tools that can assist the girls in dealing with the day to day challenges that they face. When girls participate in the Girl Talk empowerment program, our objective is that when they complete our program  they know and believe they can achieve whatever they dream of and can handle any obstacles that come their way.
