The day will consist of story time, a book signing, having a seashell treasure hunt on the lawn, followed by a fun seashell frame craft. Dreaming of the Beach? Join Joanne under the tent for a fun morning! Joanne will be reading her new book "Marine Birds from the Northeast Coast" The day will consist of story time, a book signing, having a seashell treasure hunt on the lawn, followed by a fun seashell frame craft. Younger children should be accompanied by an adult. There is no limit to attendance for the book reading and signing. Frame seashell craft is limited to 11, first come first serve. Class is listed as free, however donations are suggested and encouraged at event for frame crafts. Joanne's books will be available for purchase as well! This is an outdoor event. Masks are optional when outdoors, and social distancing is recommended. You are agreeing to our waiver by purchasing a ticket. Please read waiver HERE before purchasing. Joanne Roach-Evans is a local author and illustrator. She is the author and illustrator of "Seashells, Treasure" The Burncoat Center for Arts and Wellness is an oasis for people of all ages who want to explore both their creative, and artistic potential and overall wellness of the body and mind. Burncoat Center for Arts and Wellness offers a collection of classes, programs, workshops, and once a month market days to draw the community together for arts, crafts, and mindfulness. The act of being creative can help decrease everyday stress and anxieties. Participating in the arts can also help with depression and increase positive emotions, and daily wellbeing.
