Civil Air Patrol is celebrating our Grand Reopening across the entire stateThe Merced and Modesto squadrons are combining our efforts to reach a broader audience Visitors to our celebration can expect: Demonstrate Emergency Services skillsShow off our amazing Aerospace Education and STEM programProvide in-person leadership and drill demonstrations and trainingInform the public about our program and how anyone age 12 and up is welcome to apply for membership.Demonstrating our aviation and ground assets used in Search and Rescue, Counterdrug, Disaster Relief, and more. Food vendors, other aviation organizations, and more will be there as well. Visit our website for more information about our program Civil Air Patrol Website Squadron 50 has been an active organization in Modesto since 2010. We train our area youth in the areas of leadership, exploring aerospace and aviation careers, physical fitness, and strong moral character. These skills don't just apply to the military, we only have about 10% who enlist, but to general lifeskills important to future success. The cadet program consists of youth ages 12-20 and also an adult program for interested parents or others who wish to help serve our nation. Civil Air Patrol is the official Auxiliary of the United States Air Force and has been serving our nation since December 1st, 1941.
