Description
STONEHAM, MA — Stoneham is conducting a parking study for the downtown area focused on the blocks around Main Street between Montvale Avenue and Hancock Street.
The town has opened a 12-question survey to ascertain what residents, employees and visitors think of the downtown parking situation. The questions range from whether you have trouble parking to what issues make it challenging, such as poor lighting or fear of vandalism.
"This study will review current parking issues and concerns, conduct an inventory and utilization analysis, review policies and practices related to parking, and propose recommendations to improve Downtown parking at present and into the future," the survey reads.
The survey comes during a state study into the town's commercial district. Parking was identified as a chief concern for some businesses.
