This training required by MO Children's Division provides a general overview of the subsidy process for early childhood providers. On any given day, there are many families accessing child care assistance in order to better their lives and become self sufficient. In order to serve those families, we rely on you – the child care providers who partner with us, to make a difference in helping us improve the lives of those we serve. This is where you will learn about the Child Care Subsidy Program administered by the Department of Social Services (DSS). One MO clock hour provided. The purpose of the Educare program is to improve the quality of child care and early learning programs. Educare provides resources, technical assistance, and training opportunities to child care providers who care for children receiving Child Care Subsidy, with an emphasis on family home providers. Resources and trainings are free. Educare funding is provided by the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children's Division, Early Childhood Section.The Mid-America Regional Council administors the Educare program in Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in partnership with the Local Investment Commission, The Family Conservancy, MCC-Penn Valley and Start at Zero.
