Miniature Pinscher mix with LOTS of energy

I have a 1.5 year old miniature pinscher (Min-Pin) mix who needs rehomed as I have developed an allergy to dogs, and he needs a lot more attention than I can give him (without breaking out in hives). PLEASE READ TO SEE WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR. This boy is NOT a lap dog. He doesn't want to be carried around or babied. He wants to go on very long walks and hikes, and he can keep up with the big dogs. Five mile walks and three hour hikes barely phase him. I am looking for a home where he will get daily walks and/or hikes, and where he will have some other form of exercise available to him in the cold months. He is quite small (around ten pounds) and has very short hair, so he cannot handle much time outside when there is snow and cold. I am also asking that anyone who may be interested in rehoming him be willing to take him in immediately for shots and to be neutered, as my family has been unable to keep up on these things for him. He is a loving dog when you get to know him, but VERY scared at first. This is especially true around children and big/tall men. Once he warms up to people he is their best friend forever and will always remember them and want to be around them, but it takes a few days. He has been raised around small children, cats, and other dogs. He does think he is the boss of all other animals (though he is quite friendly with them), and has an issue with some indoor/outdoor territory marking. (Hoping this will get better or go away with neutering.) Please make yourself familiar with the breed. Do not expect to get a Chihuahua type who is content to lay on the couch all day. He is the most athletic, energetic dog I've ever met, and I want him to go to a home where he is treated accordingly. $100 rehoming fee includes his crate and all the supplies we have for him at the moment. Please, have permission from your landlord or otherwise before contacting me about him, as I have now had two homes for him fall through because things didn't work out with people in charge. :(
