Workout 3 of 6. Build Your Foundation- Core Training, Dynamic Warmup, Functional Strength Fundamentals, and breath work. Beach Flow is a combination of functional strength, mobility, and breath work in a flow inducing environment . This workout is a perfect supplement to any training program as it is designed to improve your posture, teach 3 dimensional movement patterns, decrease injuries, and improve performance. Each class in the series has a specific theme as my intent is to educate and provide tools that anyone can apply. This is a 6 week progressive series. Participants can come to any workout in the series, but will benefit from the progressive style from attending all 6. These are educational workout classes. The intent is to help athletes learn by doing, feel the movements, and apply to their routines. 1 on1 coaching, groups, and training programs are available. Training athletes, developing programs, and mentoring 100’s of trainers. From 2010-2019 Garrett was Personal Training Manager of Harbour Island Athletic Club in Tampa, part of the Wellbridge Corporation. Garrett also served as the National Training Team Leader for Wellbridge developing programs in the CO, NM, And Baltimore markets. In 2020 Garrett authored the book Move, Breathe, Create The Habit of Becoming You. I will push you out of your comfort zone and will become your advocate for personal growth.” 6 Week Performance Series 6/7 Build your foundation- Core Training and dynamic warmups - functional training form/technique (Squat-hinge-push-pull, carry, lift, shift, tilt) - box breath/ head movie 6/14 Squat Flow (primal movement patterns to master your body weight) - up regulation breath for energy/ increasing cardiac capacity (Wim Hof) 6/21 Strength/Stability Training (decrease injury and maximize performance with this misunderstood performance training technique)- down regulation breath and holds for recovery and eliciting a parasympathetic response 6/28 Kettlebell Strength Training (the most effective tool in the bag. No other strength training modality can make faster gain in performance. (Mobility, stability, grip, contralateral, etc)- Pre exercise breath- Performance Head Movie 7/12 performance circuit training (maximizing “gym training time)- using HR zones in training- Brain/heart coherent breath 7/26 paddle fit (cross training incorporating SUP) This is a fun one for the Salt Water Athlete. Apply the principles of the 6 week series into a hear rate pumping land/ sea workout.- Exploratory breath (applying different techniques to help you find your breath)
