ISO: small dog to adopt

Hi! My family is looking to add a small dog to our family. We have two cats and a baby and would like a dog who is a good fit. Breeds I had in mind are chihuahua, shih tzu, Maltese, poodle, or a mix of those. Does not have to be a perfect mix, mutt is great with us, but has to be small like those breeds with a good temperament. We are also okay not getting a puppy, if a family needs to rehome their dog for whatever reason we are also open to that. The dog’s personality matters most and it MUST be good with cats and MUST be gentle with babies. Willing to pay a reasonable rehoming fee, but please consider that I have to take the dog to the vet as well as get everything set up which can be pricey too.
