We have bass, keys, and guitar, and are looking for a drummer, since ours moved out of the area due to a job change. We like to play songs we know and love, typically along the lines of the bands noted above, although we each have a history of writing/playing original music also. We all have families and substantive day jobs, and expect to play together one night a week and play local gigs as they arise. We have a relaxed atmosphere and a very nice rehearsal and recording space in Mill Valley. There is a pro drum set here, so you can walk in, sit down and play. We play only songs we are unanimously enthusiastic about playing, and we decide in advance on a set of songs to prepare for each playing night, so our time is well spent. We record multi-track and thus get continuous feedback on how we're sounding together. We are all experienced musically and integrate jam band, psychedelic rock and jazz rock styles at a pleasantly high musical skill level (two of us have music degrees). We play some things note-for-note, but more often we play things our own way, not like a strict cover band. We also like vocal harmonies, so that would be a plus.
