Description
Join us for Vinyasa style yoga suitable for all levels. Join us on Mondays at 6 pm for Vinyasa Style Yoga a dynamic, flowing style of yoga where the body's movement is linked and attuned with the breath. This connection of breath (pranayama) and movement (asana) creates a "moving meditation" that builds personal power via strength and flexibility in the body, and peace and clarity in the mind. Students will learn various pranayama techniques and the use of the bandhas to deepen and strengthen their experience of asana. Satya Yoga offers a non-heated deeper, slower-paced Vinyasa-style Yoga to all levels of experience in a creative and nurturing environment. Classes are challenging, rejuvenating and fun, with attention to aligning the body by building a strong foundation. Basic principles are discussed, demonstrated, and practiced to build upon and enhance all areas of your life: physically, mentally, and emotionally. The practice of Yoga enables us to live more fully in our bodies (and sometimes the real work happens off the mat!). Every body is different, so students are encouraged to listen to their own bodies and move to their own breath. The cost of the class is $5 or you can purchase $20 for the month. Pre-Registration is required. COVID - 19 CDC Recommendations and Guidelines will be in place in accordance with Commonwealth of PA Department of Health current safety measures. Satya is the Sanskrit word for "truth" or "truthfulness." At Satya Yoga, LLC., we offer you an opportunity to explore your own personal truth through the practice of yoga. Satya Yoga has moved to the Stage Right, David Mateer Center for the Performing Arts at 105 W. 4th Street in Downtown Greensburg. We offer a variety of group classes, private instruction, community outreach classes, corporate yoga classes, and children's yoga workshops. Each class includes the practices of asana (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation. Guided by experienced instructors Michelle Keenan and Mary Furlo, students are encouraged to appreciate and honor their individuality, and to practice safely with openness and honesty.
