UPDATE: The airport reopened as of 6:30 p.m. Sunday, WTNH News 8 reports. GROTON, CT — The Groton-New London Airport is closed Sunday night after an "incident" involving a small plane was reported around 5 p.m., according to media reports including NBC CT. No injuries were reported. It's unclear when the airport will reopen.
