Job Posting - Production Specialist Position Title:Production Specialist Location: Poulsbo, WA Level: Entry Duration: Full-time Starting Wage: Depending on experience; Paid holidays; Other benefits as you qualify Company Background: Tarp Innovators fabricates products from industrial fabrics with a major emphasis on the military/government sector and the oil and gas industry. Our products focus on environmental protection and worker safety. Examples includes secondary spill containment berms, primary containment for water and fuels, exterior shelter structures, and interior debris control. Founded in late 2015, we are a small, family-run, fast-growing business. Currently operating out of a 5,000 square foot facility, we are expanding to a 10,000 square foot shop in Summer of 2021. We are looking for two additional Production Specialists interested in joining our team, learning the industry, and taking our business to the next level. Position Summary: As a Production Specialist, you will be responsible for learning the basic techniques for fabricating flexible products out of industrial fabrics. You will gain experience working with the following equipment/technologies: • Radio frequency welding • Hot air welding • Hot wedge welding • Automated plotting and cutting • Industrial sewing • Pneumatic grommeting The primary job functions include but are not limited to : • Shop logistics (moving heavy objects, i.e., forklift, pallet jack, cart, manually) • Cutting (manual & automated) • Fabricating • Packaging • Daily shop clean-up Required Skills: • Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly • Ability to operate power tools and industrial shears (scissors) safely • Ability to use a tape measure accurately Preferred Skills: • Experience driving a forklift • Experience shipping & receiving • Experience fabricating with industrial fabrics Bonus Skills: • Experience with industrial sewing • Experience with CAD • Proficiency with Microsoft Office & Excel (or equivalent) • Proficiency with computers and the Windows platform and/or 802.3 & 802.11 networking Conditions of Employment: • Valid driver’s license • Reliable means of transportation • Reliable telecommunications Education Requirements: • An open mind • A self-motivated spirit ** Email your resume for an interview.
